Tangled The Series Story: In The Shadows
A Tangled the Series Sequel Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding is a week away. But when a earthquake hits, strange things start to happen. It's up to Varian to figure out what. The fate of the kingdom weighs heavily on Rapunzel's shoulders and Varian's past weighs heavily on his. Both have to face their inner demons and mistakes in order to save everyone from a threat that's much bigger than Corona. Aka my dream of a season 4 (but I don't work for Disney so I can be a little darker *insert manical laughter*) Rapunzel and Varian dual POV (Also, I do hope to draw their character designs eventually :)

We all know what happened to Varian in the first season of "Tangled: The Series." He became the villain, was defeated by Rapunzel, and thrown into prison for a whole year. Yes, he redeemed himself and returned for the third season, but the lack of his presence was felt by fans everywhere throughout the entire second season of the show. So what would have happened if he had redeemed himself sooner and been there for the gang's life-changing journey throughout the second season? How would he have reacted to all those adventures he missed? Find out in this AU fanfic! You will see how he deals with his still-suspicious friends, his unrequited crush on Cassandra, and his search for a way to free his father. "Next stop, anywhere!" (Note: All rights go to Disney. Features fluff, angst, tons of crack, lots of little moments of domesticity & of course, your favorite found family ever <333 Come say hello to: Eugene, Lance, Raps, & Cass having comfortable but unexplainable relationships, maybe dating & maybe not, Varian, Kiera & Catalina bonding over being the kids of the polycule that wasn't, the King & Queen being B- parents; they're not bad or fantastic but instead mid, Quiren oscillating between being a piece of shit & meh, depending the oneshot, the Captain of the Guard simply not existing in any meaningful way; he's like a little pet plot device, Cass's & Varian's stints as villains are discussed, but they are my poor little meow meows so all is forgiven, Pnce again, an overwhelming amount of domesticity and tooth-rotting fluff, as well as some minor conflicts but this is so slice-of-life that it doesn't even compare, A confusing timeline; just know that everything that is under the same series name is together, the rest of it is fragmented pieces of maybe-the-same-universe, maybe-not, Lance & Eugene are basically brothers, Kiera & Catalina are constantly referred to as twins but are not blood related, Rapunzel & Cass are still super touchy about the fact that they're kind of sisters (its complicated) (doesn't include vat7k events)
Blinded By Stardust
Cass had been looking for her destiny outside of Corona for several months when she gets an invitation to Rapunzel and Eugene's wedding and decides to go back. When she gets there, she's told Varian had been working on his water heaters in the tunnels under the castle and goes down to find him unconscious on the ground. Hours after he was found, Varian wakes up not only blind, but very sick. This is my first fanfic so tell me what you think, be honest. Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing. Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago. Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused. Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. I am so sorry for stealing this in the past, if you somehow see this do forgive me! ~ 2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol.
