Allistair, a greek, emotional teenage boy, is entering young adulthood in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
The story starts off with an illegal racoon in New Zealand, which creates a bond with Allistair. To thicken the plot, he wins the jackpot on his 18th birthday, then soon enough mysterious and evil events gradually occur in the Winewood Forest, Allistair's only safe place.

Caleb is definitely a troubled child. Alone, with nothing going for him, he attempts to take his own life but fails at his first attempt. Caleb gets his life back on track, enrolling at college and even meeting a girl whom he used to know as a child. The two of them begin to date each other, and everything seems great for a while. That is, until Caleb remembers the reason that he tried to commit suicide in the first place, revealing a secret that shatters his new found confidence. As things at home begin to deteriorate too, Caleb’s situation goes from bad to worse. The only person who knows the truth, Dr Palmer, leaves him to stand on his own two feet, declaring him cured. He starts back at college full time, and becomes ever closer with Stephanie, the only person whom he feels that he can trust. When his own father attacks his mother, Caleb begins to think that the police are on to him, trying to unravel his past, thinking that they have realised what happened to cause him to try to commit suicide. But the guy hellbent on revenge for his cheating ex with poison ivy in his pockets might convince him that it's okay. And Brendon Urie just got cheated on. His (ex) partner is allergic to flowers, which he plans to throw through his bedroom window (since he lives right next to him), and the best flower shop around, according to Google, is Dallon's. He's not sure how he's going to break a window with a plastic case full of flowers and poison ivy, but as soon as Dallon moves in down the street, there's no harm in missing if it means he gets to see him again.Complete
