But when they travel to Levee's friend's house and discover they're near a disaster, what do they do? When there's other opposing threats that could sever the bonds they've kept in tact? When pasts are brought up to ruin anything and everything?
Can the two remain friends, or get sucked into the war so badly that they won't care if the other dies?

That is, until he discovers that someone else with the malfunction is murdering people like him, and by discover, he means damn near killed by the psychopath. In order to stay alive and off the killer's radar, Silas moves in with a doctor and an officer who helped save him, but as he spends time with them, Silas discovers a side to normal people that he's never gotten to see.
