Don't do this, don't do that. the universe will come back to you if you do. just follow the rules and don't do anything out of line. be superstitious, it'll save you.
when Amalia's family starts disappearing little by little she decides she needs to find the cause of their absence and stop it from happening. will she find her family members alive? or dead? will they be gone forever and lost beyond her reach? or will they be returned to safety? she hopes for the latter, but that's certainly not what she'll get.
