Maya's life is a true nightmare. She is held captive by the deadly hands of anorexia, and no longer knows if the weight on the scale is more important than life itself. But in the middle of her chaotic existence, she meets Lukas. A tall, broad-looking, blond-haired boy, and all of a sudden she finds herself battling the biggest dilemma of her life. A much greater dilemma than the number of cheese cubes in her salad, or how to avoid eating cake at the annual family gathering. This time she is forced to choose between anorexia, the deadly disease that holds her as a prisoner in her own life, and the charming boy Lukas whom she has felt utterly and completely in love with. Now, both life and love hangs by the thread, and she has to choose if they're worth more than the number on the scale.
