I wrote a scary story for each day of October. It was very fun, you can do it next year if you want, here are the rules:


The October Series
Rules For this Challenge.
2 TO 5 PAGES MAXIMUM
Has to be a scary story or any sort of writing form that matches the theme of Halloween.
Can only spend 20 minutes on each story, including editing times.
Has to focus on the scary, not on character development.
Has to be vague in terms of backstory, character description, and development.
The backstory is allowed but spends no more than a page on it.
Have fun!

As a way to better myself as a writer I've decided to challenge myself this October. This book will begin on October 1st and end of October 31st. Everyday I will push myself to write and publish a chapter. I honestly do not know where this book is going, what will happen, or how it will end. But that is a journey we can take together! If you go down to the woods today... Well, in this town, you probably won't come back. Unexplained deaths and disappearances are normal around here. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. Me and those boys I've loved all along. - - ‐ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Our town is haunted. The five of us are cursed. And Halloween is just around the corner... Let's see who makes it to November 1st.

Four tweens. October month and a harmless field trip to a pumpkin patch. It was supposed to be harmless right?.. Not as if we going to be hunted and slaughtered like lambs. Then why I ask..I'm currently getting chased by a overgrown pumpkin who wants rip me in half?? Perl fascinated by all things supernatural is in a surprise when one of her teammates accidentally picks up a cursed object that will prove to shake up their world completely. Niko never wanted to be apart of the group and the feelings would be soon returned if his group knew of the cursed glowing object he casually picked up and decided to keep. Because of this little slip up him and the cursed group he would soon have to learn to work with have to survive the month of October. Jasmine and James always been together. Through whatever problems given they twins it only natural. Jasmine have a freaky talent that when one night things escalate she is the only one with memories of it. Why is that so? Why are the kids cursed and will their new found friendships be enough to deal with whatever challenges they will face? One can only hope.
