When they were captured and tortured by S.H.I.E.L.D. and refused to give in, S.H.I.E.L.D. killed their father in front of, 7 year old Cassie and, 10 year old Caspian. Ever since they've been on a mission to take down S.H.I.E.L.D. and kill the men who killed their father.
