Serena Yvonne Gabena is bullied at school for being smarter than anyone else and because her father left her and her mother when she was still a baby. As a result, she becomes reclusive and depressed. Then, one day, her school gets a new student. A young man named Satoshi Ashton Ketchum. Though reclusive and mysterious, he becomes one of the few people who actually listens to her. In the face of a rising force that threatens Serena and the world she knows, will he be able to pull her out of her world of suffering and help her learn the truth of a past she didn't know haunted her, or is it too late?
