The chances of keeping the tiny apartment she and her father have rented in the middle of Sydney are looking slim, and the landlord's got an eye out for each cent they earn. But then a woman claiming to be her mother offers Ellie with the tantalising thought of a mansion, and the crumbling unit becomes even harder to bear. When both Grace and Ellie are flown off to attend Stamford International School in Singapore, they couldn't be more disappointed to find that they've been put together as roommates. Ellie thinks that Grace is too snobbish, and Grace thinks that Ellie is too uptight. But when one family wedges themselves in between the Li's and the Wei's, Grace and Ellie are thrown into a cesspool of forced love, lies, manipulative boys and stolen money.
