I never wanted any of this.  I think no one ever does. 
I long for the days when I can sit and just watch the sunset slowly slip into darkness, just let the moonlight be the only thing that shines.  Instead I sit upon this throne and let my sanity wither away. Was I ready? I think no one ever is, but I wanted to be. 
"My queen?" A shy fragile voice snaps me out of trance. The voice was barley above a whisper, a pen dropping would've been louder than the voice.
