After the massive decrease in human population in 2039 due to ZX91-V or Singed Virus which causes humans it infects to die within 3 days if not treated. The virus "burns" the corpse after a person dies hence the name Singed Virus. Earth survived losing 40% of the total human population while some of the remaining survivors are still infected with the virus. In 2054, another calamity striked the planet as comet CH311YN or Comet Stain without warning broke into 4 parts and scattered in Indian Ocean, Pacific Ocean, South Pole and Russia which emitted a colorless, tasteless, odorless but warm steam. It was unnoticed until signs showed on humans that inhaled it.

First one, a 59 year old man in China grew extra pair of hands...from that then on it just started getting crazier. The Global Government which is made up of all the presidents and ministers of every country decided on a vote to call the "gifts" Arcana. Arcanas can be classified in 4 groups... Arcana of the Gods, Arcana of the Stars, Arcana of the Cards and Arcana of Natures Essence.
