Adora feels like Glimmer doesn't respect her as a friend, and is only using her for her power.

The Horde is doing all they can to drive the Princess Alliance apart.

Catra is doing her best to show Hordak what she's worth as second in command.

Angella is just looking out for her daughter's and Bright Moon's best interests.

These Princesses and their descendents and bloodline able to control the elements of magic, shaping it to their will to keep the world in balance. And there was Adora. Gaining alliances, they took over Earth and various other planets, forcing anyone they see into submission. Horde Prime managed to take over Heaven and Hell. The Exterminators are able to roam Hell freely. Etheria's Princesses have been enslaved. Hell's Royalty has been slain. Rebellions, riots, protests, ended within minutes. They're stealing the freedom of the majority. It seems nobody can stand up to them. Until now. Heavily based on Wolfenstein.

An AU where Catra takes Adora prisoner, wipes her memories and forces Adora to become dependent on her emotionally. TW for Yandere, abusive themes, dark themes, cartoon/mild gore, victim blaming, "Stockholm syndrome" (not a thing but you get the idea. The attachment and identifying with one's captor/kidnapper for one's own survival) etc. This originally was a "yandere catra x adora" fanfiction but became something more personal for me. An outlet for obsessive thoughts and trauma and such. I do not recommend this work of fiction to minors. In fact, I advise against it as themes may become less than appropriate as the chapters go on.
