For some Christmas is NOT the most wonderful time of the year, especially for Claude Duprey who mourns every year for the loss of her parents and of her childhood.
It's been twenty years since her world was ripped apart, she is now engaged, sober, and ready to face Christmas head on. But someone from her past is coming back to haunt her.

Danielle Carpenter has lived a life some might call boring, but she'd always loved language, and however much her parents might say specializing in Old English is a useless waste of life, it was her passion. 18 November, 2024 The 10K Nanowrimo i wish I woulda submitted when I was 14. Told in 4 parts, this is an unedited, first draft literary story bordering on poetic style prose. There are elements of psychological, general, teen, and horror. This isn't a cautionary tale, it's just a tale. Some that one can relate to. It's hard to trust people, especially the ones who make you feel really good really fast. But you must have discernment in this life or there'll be consequences. M is your Northern California bred protagonist who has a plethora of friends sandwiched in her daily routine. She's just like you, she works, she drinks after work, she goes home. The writer was sitting in front of her computer, stuck with the writer's block, when her phone suddenly buzzed, showing the name of the one she missed the most.
