Feudal Japan, the Year 1600.
Japan suffers as the Shogun of the Tokugawa Shogunate, Tokugawa Ieyashu, invades large parts of Japan. However, he is able to invade all of Japan except for the island of Hokkaido, the northernmost island. 10 years before the invasion, a boy is born on Hokkaido island. He becomes the last hope for the people of Japan.
