The not so typical high school student - Rosemary Barns was never confident and always stayed away from the other cliche like kids at her school. She has always had a problem with making friends so instead she spends most of her life with her nose in a book.
If anything she avoids all human contact as possible, Rosemary is just getting used to her new life in America. She was born in California, but then she moved to India and now she is going back to America and this time she hopes that she's staying for good.
Rose (Rosemary) then gets a little too close with the American lifestyle when she realizes that she has fallen in love with a guy that can't bother to remember her name.
Rose is in for a true journey when she learns the ways of America and hopefully she can find a place to call home.
