The Canary Bay Monster is rumoured to live in the abandoned tunnels of the old coal mines. Some say that the monster was an invention designed to keep kids away from the dangerous tunnels.
Josh has moved here with his family and has been immediately found himself off-side with the local bullies, the eldest has a grudge against Josh's extended family and has decided to take out his revenge on Josh.
Josh is thrown into the mine, with an unexpected result.
Can Josh protect his family from the bullies? Or will he be a victim of the monster?
