"What's this? A bunch of teenage fools attempting to save the world? How quaint." the werewolf leader snickered at me. "You couldnt harm a flea, could you? Aww, so little."
I felt my entire body go numb. How dare he berate me in such a revolting way. I agreed that I was short and not very strong but that does not mean my power doesn't reach more than his original thought.
"Just wait and see, wolf scum." Travis spat, saliva dripping from his lips. "You'll see what a useful weapon I've accumulated." He swung his cloak over himself and vanished into the shadows. I gulped. Now I was alone with the werewolf leader. He gave me a maniacal laugh.
"Useful weapon, eh?" He raised one eyebrow before continuing. "I'll have to take that into consideration. Come along, boys." He beckoned to the other werwolves around him, and he sped off.
Rowan and I exchanged a glance. We were in for one hell of a ride.
