Elizabeth Smith's life lies in the ruins of the second wizarding war.
The pieces left; a secret, that she cannot, for any reason, share; a fiance that she does not love, at least not in the way he wants her to; a father in Azkaban, who she helped convict; and a bloodline she believes is a cursed blessing.
But the life Liz has led so far isn't the one she's been dreaming of. That life starts and ends when Liz finds her soulmate, the one person who can set her life back on track.
When Liz first gets accepted into Auror training, she realizes something is off right away- and with the help of the recurring itch at the back of her ankle and her new friends- she traces the feeling to a single person.

The Weight of the Unspoken

29 parts Ongoing Mature

Hermione is a mind healer for the Ministry and treats many war survivors, including Azkaban prisoners. Tired of her tedious relationship with Auror Ron Weasley, she pours herself into work. She has a very challenging case at hand-Draco Malfoy. He spent the first two years of his sentence in isolation and hasn't spoken a word since. Close to his release, Kinglsey, the Ministry, has always believed that Draco was only a child on the wrong side of the war, and has specifically sent her to achieve his rehabilitation into society, despite their historic animosity.
