This is my first poetry book. Go easy on me 😅.
This poetry book has a lot of free verse poetry in it. (No rhyme scheme)
The reason it's called thoughts of the overlooked is because I feel as if I have been overlooked my entire life. I love to write, so I decided to write poetry about my feelings in different situations.
All of the poetry in this book is based off of something that has happened in my life. I don't say names because that should be and will be anonymous.
Hope you enjoy this book! There will be more works of mine that will come out soon but for now enjoy!

As a person who overthinks all the time my mind flows with my most precious thoughts, always seeking to create everlasting essays that shape me. Poems of Pain and Solitude
For every person out there that was quiet, not because they chose to be so, but because they were choking in the smoke. Because their opinions were apparently not worth anything. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. For the floors we would pace while anxiety sunk its teeth into us. For the mirrors that we would break while shame echoed its laugh in our caged walls. For the hearts that would ache while loneliness was the only company. For every moment of pain and solitude in this world that feels too cruel for such young and frail minds.Concluida

Short stories turned into poems for the "best of both worlds" experience. I don't relate to most of them but A LOT of people from all around do. Abroad
The purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions, your feelings when you lie alone at night by yourself, cornered. We tend to postpone them, shelf them, as we grow accustomed to our daily activities, never giving ourselves a chance to evaluate ourselves. Who are we? what do we lack? what do we need? In this book, I took it upon myself to air out all of my grievances, my intimate thoughts, my happiness, my disappointments, my sadness all out in the open, for all to see. I wanted to face it all. To stare my mortality dead in the eyes, and let the lingering stare sit, I wanted to simmer the feeling of weakness, of every single type of emotion, completely digest it, and let it manifest genuinely, reading it, again and again, perfecting it, again and again, until the feeling of pain subsides. I there is anything that I want you to take from this book, is time. Yes, just a word, time. It goes by, so have not regrets, and never leave something from saying.
