North & Chase and the Wonders of the Universe

Chase and North barely know each other.
The one thing they seem to have in common is a good relation with chase's sister, Cather. But on the night of August 31st, she seemingly vanishes, skipping town. Just as Chase's other sister announces that she's pregnant.
Nobody knows where she went. Chase is devastated. His sister was everything to him, the one who helped him through his less than adequate home and school life. Meanwhile, North is just confused. Why would she just run off? It was so unlike her. But then a mysterious letter addressed to both them and Chase falls into their lap. One that sends the both of them on a hunt to find 'the wonders of the universe'.
Set over the course of 10 months, this is the story of two misfits during senior year, intelligent enough to know that the world's in shambles, but wise enough to search for the patches of wonder anyways
