The Yellow Door (Completed)
1 part Complete MatureExcerpt:
The inside was pitch black. The bitter atmosphere left an unsettling pit in my stomach, and I could feel ominous chills traveling down my arm, leaving goosebumps in its wake. All around me was cold and aloof, and upon reaching out with my arms, I felt nothing. My aura seemed to fade more and more within every second of standing in this charcoal abyss. My eyelids began to feel heavy with sleep. I hadn't slept in a long time, not a proper night's. I could feel my knees threatening to give out from underneath me. My body begged me to give in. I collapsed in exhaustion, and fell into a heavy slumber.
My whole body was numb. There was a congested feeling in my chest like something had been shoved right down my throat. My breath came out in small, erratic, intervals, my hands trembling beneath her head. The corpse lay across my lap, cold as ice.
