After the dust had settled and the blood that once warmed my flesh had dried and I saw not only Grim in a new light but myself as well. I could no longer hate Grim for the life he had taken away from me. I could only be blissful for the gift he bestowed upon me. Even if this gift, this power. Would ultimately be the undoing of myself and everyone else.

"Help me raise some hell, Cammie, and you can get your soul back." Grim reapers are skeletal figures in black robes. That's what they are in movies, anyways. But in real life, they used to be people. Every supernatural creature knows to stay out of their way, because you don't mess with death. Or, at least they used to. Cammie isn't anything other than an ordinary girl who makes a mistake at a party. But her death leads to her meeting one of the reapers upset with the current state of affairs, and her life instantly gets more dangerous. While she's trailing behind this eccentric girl who claims to own her soul, she meets the very vampire that killed her- and he's not the only one who's taken an interest in her. The supernatural world is gearing up for war, and Cammie is one of the only ones with the chance to choose what side she wants to be on. Or, so she thinks.
