Born in a world full of struggle Imoni Simone is now all grown up. Now attending college getting the full experience. Many like to think of her as a stuck up and too full of herself when it's the complete opposite. That's why people say to never judge a book by its cover. Imoni was raised in a poor household with her family barely making it out of the struggle. She was so used to living a lie that now that her family is one of the most respected in town she has a hard time remembering that their struggles are in the past. When being used to having no one to confide in, Imoni automatically puts up a guard. It's not that she means too but what are you suppose to do when that's all you're used to.
