It's New York. The "big apple" in the "land of dreams". Whatever you want to call it. For Emma, she knew she was different. She didn't fit in with anyone at school. It definitely wasn't the land of dreams for her. Indefinitely. She spent half her time writing stories that brought out everything she was going through. She liked the wrong sort of music. Emma was definitely not your ordinary girl that you came across everyday... Then came a stranger. He offered an alternate world, one so different from the world she lived in. One where everything thought untrue was true. Then came Drew. He was everything she dreamed. Only he could never go back to her world unless a sacrifice was made. What would she do?

Outside the walls
War had just broke out between the states of America. Two states remained. Yet only one wins. One state had won by peace and one state had won by destruction. The day of the fight, the state of distinction launched a nuke. Yet they had under estimated the power the nuke had. It destroyed both states and it had seemed that no one remained. 3 years latter and a little city had grown out of the destruction. Emma was a resident of that city. Emma had a different childhood than most. "Go fetch the food!" or "Go get the water!" Were the most of chores she had to do. It was grow up fast or die in her city! On Emma's 17 birthday she would be old enough to go out side of the city walls and look for communication to other parts of the world. They had found a part of a cell tower that would finish off there hand made cell tower and needed a search crew to go get it and bring it back. Emma now being old enough she tried out. She had never been outside the city walls. We're most of the adventures have already gone once or twice.
