Apollo meets David in English class, over 8 cups of diet pudding, which blossoms into a deep but complicated friendship that challenges what Apollo knows about himself. Later, Apollo loses trust in the bond he's built with David over many years and struggles to rebuild it as he realizes that he needs David more than he thought he did.
