so in this book kokichi is gonna be kotoko's older brother so he had to deal with what kotoko was going through but for longer and much more because he was older and a male but due to an incident it made him forget all about it and his original talent which then landed him in the orphanage which he then took the ultimate supreme leader since he forgot his original talent and other stuff happened just read the story if you wanna know more

Although everything is true about the despair and stuff after they woke up they were at the future foundation toko and neagi's sister saved both kotoko and kokichi from despair kinda not really although kotoko was mostly out doing missions so kokichi didn't remember her yet
