"Because I had to watch my family get turned, and I couldn't do anything. I had to put them down. The helpless and empty feeling you get after that is the worst feeling!!" I yell again, my voice only getting louder.
He pauses for a second and the silence between us is deafening.

As she scanned the empty area, her eyes caught a figure-a man standing far away, motionless. Something about the way he stood unsettled her. Then, out of nowhere, a group of people rushed toward him. Startled, Han took out her phone, recording the scene from a distance. "What's going on?" she wondered. Planning to at least send the video to the police. "I shouldn't get involved in a street fight when I just landed here, right? ..." "Ugh ... I don't Know ..." She stepped closer, but what she saw next made her freeze in fear. The group wasn't just attacking the man. They were biting him, tearing at his flesh, their movements jerky and unnatural. Her stomach churned as her mind screamed the truth: "they weren't people. ~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out.
