"Then why let us help you in the first place?! You needed our help! Face it! It's not a bad thing to-"

"Dammit, it's because I was tired of being alone!" I yell, tears suddenly stinging my eyes.
"Because I had to watch my family get turned, and I couldn't do anything. I had to put them down. The helpless and empty feeling you get after that is the worst feeling!!" I yell again, my voice only getting louder.

He pauses for a second and the silence between us is deafening.
"I know that feeling."
