The music was loud and the people were louder. I cringed at the drunken teens that stumbled around. There were so many people who were all over each other and I didn’t understand how people could be so touchy in public. I searched for Luke in the mass of people at this stupid house party. I spot him in the corner and he has one of those red cups in his hand that tells me he’s drinking. I didn’t care if he did but I didn’t. He was the reason that I was here in the first place and he had promised me that when I wanted to leave we could. I had wanted to leave the second we got here but I opted to give him a few hours before I asked to leave. I walked over to him but didn’t say anything at first because he was talking to some people. When the conversation turned away from him a bit he looked over at me a questioning look on his face, “Can we go?”
