Hot shot starts to grow into a very happy and healthy five year old. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. However when in June, Hot shot starts to feel unwell. Hot shot has a horrible headache, he is vomiting, he is tired all the time and he is cranky. His parents take him to Cook Children's hospital ER because they are worried about him. Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple and they live in Fort Worth Texas. Heatwave is a firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. They are happy with their life and soon they have a son. They name him Hot shot. They love Hot shot very much. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and active child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is now five years old. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell in May. Hot shot is wondering why he is feeling so bad. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together.
