A Wife's Recollection & Reflection

My Husband's Cancer Journey
As my husband celebrates his 10th year as a cancer survivor I got the chance to look back on the events before his diagnosis, during his treatment and recovery. I finally had the moment to reflect on how we took his cancer journey together.
When I recall each and every moment, I realized how we the wives/husbands front as the stronger and bigger person in such times. I remembered how in our "alone time" we bottled the pains from the start and end of the journey. In our own secret space and time we bled purple.
We may have not suffered physically, but inside our hearts we felt unexplainable pains. In our minds we suffered endless and unexplainable fears. We posed our strongest faces and exude the greatest calm in the outside. In silence we also fought the battle, with and for them. We are the silent warriors.
