Legacy

This is the fourth book to the small series, Joe Carter Adventures. The once proud nation is in shambles, scattered about the earth. Only a few loyal subjects remain on the small islands of the Caribbean Sea. War has come and Martha is left in despair as many innocent people, her people, are dying in the crossfire. In a misunderstanding, some crewmembers are taken and held hostage on a nearby island. Determined to get them back, Martha along with their first mate takes the Neptune Queen out to rescue her men. She makes a heroic stand, only to succumb to a blow to the head. While unconscious, Martha sees one of the final chapters in the small family as a whole. Faced with distressing circumstances, Joe has to chase after her son and cousin across the vast ocean. During the chaotic adventure Joe will come to realize that her role is not a burden, but a gift that should be cherished. Martha, upon awaking, learns more about her heritage in a few moments than she did in her whole life. She realizes that her nation does not need her to fight their battles in the physical war, but within the status of officials. She will do the one thing that others before her could not accomplish.
