Heatwave and Quickshadow are a happily married couple. They live in Fort Worth Texas together. Heatwave is Firefighter and Quickshadow is a pediatric oncologist who works at Cook Children's hospital. They are very happy. Soon the adopt a baby boy they name Hot shot. They are so happy to have him and love him very much. They tell Hot shot from the beginning he is adopted. Hot shot accepts that. Hot shot even gets things from his birth mother. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and healthy boy. Hot shot is now five years old. In June Hot shot begins to feel unwell. He has bad headache, he is vomiting, he is tired, he is walking funny, he is falling down a lot, and he has a head tilt. His parents take him to see his pediatrician Dr. Erret. Dr. Erret sends Hot shot to Cook Children's hospital to get an MRI. The MRI reveals that Hot shot has a brain tumor. Hot shot's tumor is biopsied and they do tests on the sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is very brave and ready to fight his cancer. Hot shot makes friends with four other children his age who have the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt! (Humanized)
