On her way to a marriage she doesn’t want with a man she can’t stand, Guinevere and her sister are attacked and left for dead. When Gwen wakes up with nothing but a bloody dagger and a tattered piece of fabric adorned with the dark red insignia of the knights of Camelot clenched in her fingers, she is thrown into a race against time. Gwen must find out who killed her sister, and why, before they realize that only one of them is dead.

Disguised as Gawain, a bumbling squire with a knack for the sword,
Gwen finds herself in Camelot, taken in by the king’s knights. Including her
husband-to-be, the bitter and angry captain of the guard…

If Gwen’s secret is uncovered, the king will have her head. But someone in the guard knows more than he’s saying and if she can’t figure out who it is, she’s better off dead. The lines between love and hate and right and wrong will blur and Gwen may have to do more than she could have ever imagined to stay alive…
