Burdened (Short Story)
I was 16 years old when I found out that it was possible. I was living in an apartment with my boyfriend at that time. He and I took our high school classes online together. I met him when we were 14, just being dumb and clueless. I didn't know that I'll be his girlfriend at the age of 15 or that I was going to live on my own when I'm 16. I was just in my curious 14 year old body trying to get over my new monthly bleeding schedule. He and I wanted to become actors as a career, so we took college classes as well. At age 16, I worked 2 jobs at the mall and he was fixing cars at his father's garage shop. We were happy and in love. During our 16th year of age, we decided to do the big IT. It was amazing since we both took each others' virginity and luckily knew how to use condoms. It was impossible to stop. We did it non-stop, but that ended quickly when I stepped out of the bathroom with tears in my eyes. I was pregnant with Matthew Connor's baby. And I wasn't ready. Solene likes to write stories. She writes stories that she knows will never happen to her. Stories that somehow give her comfort knowing that at least it happened somewhere... Not exactly in real life, right? But being the fantasizing weirdo as she is, she decides to imagine herself as a character from Letters to Juliet and writes a small note, then places it inside a book. It was a crazy for her to do so, but somehow she felt like someone actually was going to read it and act like her genie and grant her all the things that she wrote. ha. haha. hahaha. Emma Carpenter is a classic example of a nerd. She does her homework, gets straight A's, reads all the time, and never gets in trouble. Then one day Emma gets detention with the one and only Dylan Evans. You could say he's a bad boy.
