Katie Donaghue can't wait to get out of school. She wants to escape the crowded halls and the stupid traditions people have come up with. She can't stand the holidays anymore. Not Christmas, not New Years', not Thanksgiving, not even her birthday. But as she becomes more and more depressed as the season of giving comes nearer, a new student ends up next to her in all her classes who seems even more down than she is. Quickly finding interests with this stranger, Katie finds out everything she knows isn't exactly what is true.
