I did not move from my designated position on the floor, with my blade thrown far away from me. My skin was scratched slightly by the sharpness

I looked up at my sweet mother and whispered, “They told me to kill myself.”

16-year-old Lisa Devano was an average high school girl attending an average high school with a bunch of girl friends. But what wasn’t so average about her is that she started having hiccups in her life. Seeing “doppelgangers” and hearing things from “people” in her life that she wishes not to hear? And what’s worse for her mother to ask her the same question, “What’s wrong, sweetheart?” and given the same reply everytime about suicide.
Life’s not the same anymore for Lisa and the people she loves.
