A young little girl has lost her words after the death of her parents a year couple ago. A man named Quinton Hunter takes the girl into his care with his "wife" right after the incident and gives her the name Avery Rose Hunter. However, Quinton is no ordinary father, he is an assasin, who, has a daytime job as an elementary school teacher. Quinton takes on a challenge to help Avery live her life as he tells her that he'd teach her ten abilities that would be of use to her in the long run. But will he teach her everything in time? Or will his lung cancer beat him to it?
