Six (Tris/Beatrice) has just been expelled from her school and is being forced to transfer to a new high school: Divergent High. Six has a troubled past and never forgets who has wronged her. She formed a gang to help her get revenge on the person who killed her parents. Six refuses to speak a word  of her past unless it's to her gang. When she transfers she meets new people and faces new challenges. Will she let go of the past? Even more importantly, will she find who killed her parents?

Eventually she finds out the father of the baby but she has to decide if she wants to stay with the father of her baby or the other guy. Let's not forget Tris is only 18 at the time and is trying to finish high school, deal with boy troubles, learn how to be a mom, and start a career.
