Berthe Handham is 19 years old. The year is 9399 and they know the end is near. The society decides to rely on young adults to save the children and elders from the wicked Sun Goddess and her fire beasts. The world has created one government which decides to chose twenty young adults (age 17-25) to go on the mission. The day that the list is posted Berthe is mortified to find out that she is on the list. Everyone not on the list is sent to live in underground tunnels until they get the word that the world is safe. With some help from the beautiful Goddess of the Moon they attempt to survive in this page-turning adventure.
