Told in free verse poetry, this story follows Mason - a 13-year-old trans boy - and the conflicts he has with his family, school, finding friends, and finding himself. Despite his cynical and pessimistic attitude towards many things, he eventually warms up to a counselor his school assigned him - Ms. Clous - and things start to change for the better.
