It was a few months after Christien and Amy destroyed Sonic.EXE. They have been separated for so long that Christien tried everything in his power to go back to Amy. 
But what if the evil wasn't destroyed, what if the army is still out there and EXE still wants Christien. 
Amy has come back to warn Christien that EXE took over Sonic again and is after the two. 
Will she warn him in time? Can Christien stop EXE and his army, or will he be taken over again.
