Goodbye (Mha)
"The permanence of death will always feel like a betrayal." - Sabaa Tahir ***** The roof top of Aldera high school was a significant place- or rather, the ground directly below it. With the appearance of a ghost in Bakugo's life, he's plagued with new questions. What life does he deserve? What opportunities should he take? What has Bakugo taken that should've belonged to the dead? Aside from these, there is one thing Bakugo can never say to the ghost. Cause what if Goodbye makes it real? ***** This is a Bakugo-centric fanfic in which I've explored the possible turn Bakugo's character would've taken if Midoriya took his advice. As well as that, what turn the story would've taken- Bakugo's friends, All Might's successor, possible events. This is a self indulgent story centered around my desire to give Bakugo a somewhat endearing story- which is highly redemptive. I may add that if you appreciate Midoriya-centric works I am planning a sequel in which he magically comes back to life (I'm working on the plot ok?) and it's basically Bakugo's path to forgiving himself. I will not ship the two because there will be an age gap I'm not ready to tackle, so don't worry. Actually this is a nonship work because I can't do that lol. This work is roughly 60,000 words long so it did take me forever to right and it might take you longer than you're used to in order to read. "Can you hear them?" The class stared in silence as they watched Izuku's dead body fall to the floor. "Can you see them?" Tomura slowly closed the gap between the students and him as they shock, unable to use their quirks. "They are angry." That when he laughed. Slowly as if his limbs refused to corporate Izuku Midoriya stood up with a hole in his head, still alive despite being dead. With nothing left in his life but regret, he decided to do the one thing left to do. His life was after all meaningless after what he did. All that was left for him was regret. [I listened to the song Green by Cavetown and somehow thought up this fanfiction. The song doesn't have anything to do with the story. (Though I guess the meaning and overall what this story is about is similar..)] Desc: Bakugo and Midoriya have a complicated relationship. To best friends, to bully and victim, to rivals and now.. Strangers? Yeah, Strangers is what you'd call them now. After an argument, Bakugo and Midoriya stop talking to each other. Nobody knows why or how it happened. Bakugo stops calling Midoriya, "Deku," and refers to his real name. Midoriya stops calling Bakugo, "Kacchan," and calls him Bakugo. Nobody is brave enough to question it, and it never gets addressed. Eventually, that becomes the norm. Bakugo and Midoriya CAN cooperate in lessons now, so the teachers say nothing. Bakugo and Midoriya don't fight anymore ̶(̶T̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶n̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶a̶l̶k̶ ̶a̶n̶y̶m̶o̶r̶e̶.̶)̶, so nobody says anything. It's all for the better, right? Well, that's what they tell themselves. But deep down, Bakugo and Midoriya hate it. They hate how they've ended up like this. So.. Maybe that's why Bakugo decides to apologize in the end. What The- (MHA Chatfic... Sorta)
What if Izuku was a vigilante? What if his parents either died or abandoned him? What if he had to work in a cafe just to support himself? What if a certain sleep deprived coffee addict was hunting the vigilante Oleander and went to their cafe? What if that vigilante was accidentally added to a new chat group? Well, I have no plans for this so I'm finding out with you! This will be my third book (no, none of the others are published), so please don't come in expecting great quality. I will try my best to make this interesting and not confusing, but I will make no promises especially when it comes to spelling and grammatical errors. It's going to be a mix of chat and normal writing, but I'll try to make it mostly chat (update, it doesn't look like that's how this is going to work. I don't think this can even be considered a chatfic anymore).
