Have you ever wondered what it felt like to live a life where you regretted one situation? And that one situation changed your life drastically, and you couldn't do anything to change it? Like say the most cliché one, you took a left turn and the "love-of-your-life" took a right, and you never once meet, but if you had your entire world could have been different and probably a lot more enjoyable. But you would have never known that he was a right turn away, and probably would have never regretted it, so does even make sense? No, it doesn't. 
But say you did meet and happily and slowly fell in love, but that love turned dark and hurtful after so long. And that love soon ripped you apart and shattered your body to pieces, leaving you to pick up the so called mess you made. Then you could easily regret the day you meet the "love-of-your-life". 
But hey that's just one situation out of a thousand, and Kali's situation is much different but is still categorized under "regretful" along with everyone else she surrounds herself with. Have you ever wondered if you were meant to be something greater than what you ended up becoming but, life had other plans for you? Others don't care content with the life they have and just float through life trying to not get caught up in everything. This is the stories of several young adults, who by some interesting and what could be seen as cruel or traumatic events come together to fight fate and grow into the people they wish to become. Each has a past that was unfair, cruel, demeaning, or tragic. The defining trait they all share though, they may not realize it themselves is despite it all, they haven't given in. They found through meeting eachother the strength to fight on despite being subjected to some of the worst things that can happen to people. When a young man from our world dies doing something his ideal self would have done, he reflects on his life moments before leaving this world. Finding it Ironic that dying was the catalyst to him realizing he had lived his life all wrong. Surprisingly though he found himself in a place that was unrecognizable. He could never have imagined that this was only the start of what he now sees as a second chance. A chance to keep a promise he made to someone dear, and a new promise to himself that he would become what that person needed most back then, A Hero.
