All throughout her life, Eva was home schooled, along with her triplet siblings, Jezebel, and Jamie. But finally, they were in their freshman year of high school, and it was time to be social, and have new relationships with people besides their families.

El went into the maze and showed her powers, but in the Scorch Trials, her powers fluctuated due to emotional turmoil. She self-harmed and attacked her friends out of pain. In the Death Cure, she and Juliette survived and honored their deceased sisters. Both lost their powers, but retained their purple eyes as a reminder.
