Mature
A 23-year-old named Amara with skin that shimmered under the tiniest bit of sun and eyes that reflected everything that was shown to them. She was very talkative and entertained everyone she came across. She was fairly new in her town but that didn't stop her from making connections.

However, that's just what she allows you to see. When the sun kisses the horizon and the moon takes its position in the dark night, Amara blossoms. The shadows stretch out to look like deranged scarecrows, and the wind whispers through the tree leaves. Where most people would be afraid of the dark and what it holds, Amara embraces it with open arms. Here is where she will find secrets, here is where she will unlock her deepest desires, and here is where she will find her inner peace.

Finding these solutions bring their own set of problems that she will have to deal with. Although, she did not account for the main problem.

Zion.

* Amara stood in front of Zion, her hands trembling. "Zion, why are you doing this? You won't let me in. I don't understand." Zion didn't respond immediately. His eyes were distant, his jaw clenched tight, and for a moment, the silence between them felt suffocating. "I can't keep guessing what's going on in your head," Amara continued, her voice breaking. "I've been patient, I've been understanding, but you keep pulling away. I need to know, Zion. Why?" He finally looked at her, his gaze sharp and unreadable. "What do you want from me, Amara?" Her words caught in her throat. She hadn't expected him to ask that. "I-I want you to trust me. I want you to let me help, to be real with me." Zion stepped back, the tension in his shoulders clear. "You want me to trust you? But what about what you're hiding? What about your own walls?" Amara's heart skipped. "My walls?" He took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing. "You're just as scared as I am, Amara. You want me to open up, but you haven't shown me the real you. So tell me, what's really going on with you?" Amara stood frozen, the weight of his words sinking in. She had expected to get answers from him, but now, it seemed like she was the one who needed to come clean. ----- The Prayer of My Heart follows Amara, a passionate Christian singer who has been praying for the right man to enter her life, someone who shares her faith and values. 10 Years ago my life changed, I was 18, young, stupid and selfish. I thought I was doing the right thing, convinced myself everything I did I was doing for the boy who owned my heart, the boy I loved - so I ran as far as I could go, without explanation to my friends and in spite of my family I fled the only home I had ever known, left behind the only people that had ever cared about me, but I needed an escape. I know you heard me Amara, Is she, Is Lily, Mine?" "Asher" I whispered, taking a further step out onto the balcony, I closed the door behind me "No Amara, She looks like me, so just tell me the truth ok, she is my fucking daughter isn't she" "Yes" I let the words fall out of my mouth "Yes Asher, She is yours" "What the fuck Amara" His voice was loud, his face twisted in anger,
