After an unknown virus breaks out, the Drake family will need to escape the city and from the undead hoard. Meanwhile, Joel and Ellie are also trying to survive from the chaos but together, they will uncover what truly caused this nightmare and bring an end. They will visit some old places and end up reopening some old wounds.
