"Do you believe in God?" The question was sudden; an out of nowhere inquiry that startled Aaron out of her busy daydream. The two girls had just been settled in comfortable silence on the balcony for what felt like hours, disassociating with the rest of the group that remained inside the building. Aaron bit her lip, flicking a piece of her blonde hair out of her face and leaning back slightly as she sighed. "Sorry, was that too deep a question?" Rita followed up, wincing at her own forwardness. Aaron shook her head, her golden hair falling back into place in the middle of her face. She should really cut that. Aaron sighed again and leaned back over the railing. "I don't think so. I just... I don't. "Riley?" I asked and she looked up from her phone. One of her eyebrows was raised. "Yes?" she asked and that confirmed it. I felt like I couldn't breathe. What the hell was going on here? "Hi, I am Ash. Short for Ashley, but please call me Ash" I said, extending my hand. I sounded wooden and choked, but I didn't know what else to do. Riley's mouth dropped open; she smiled nervously, and shook her head. We both realized what this meant. Our "boys" weren't late. Both our dates had been on time. "Uh...No, I...I am looking for a man," she explained. I blushed. I felt so stupid.
