"A reflection of ourselves is always scary because it reveals our inner demon," he read aloud, leaning back.
I can't recall the title of the book or the reason he read it aloud, but I do recall his response when I said, "I don't agree with that."
With his eyes fixed on me, he murmured, "Oh darling, you sure do". When he spotted the monsters lurking deep within me, he smirked and peered in the reflection of my eyes.
......................
They proved that there are actually six musketeers, despite our long-held belief that there were only "three."

Life showed Hazel that her expectations of her high school year-a typical year filled with fun and games with her friends-were not realistic.
They would never be the same since they would be facing their demons this year, and only the victor would live.

That being said, the query is, "Are you ready to lose in friendship?"

The corner of his mouth tilts upward slightly. I smile again. A smile!? A tiny one, but still. "Hm. So I got you to smile, that's progress, yeah? Can I get your name now?" I ask, swinging my feel a little. He shakes his head shyly, his mouth not moving at all. Geez! Why do I want to hear this dude talk so much? "Okay, that's fine. I can give you a nickname." I offer happily. He looks up from his book, raising his eyebrows. I just stare for a moment. He has nice eyes. Pretty brown chocolate orbs. They remind me so much of....... "Teddy." He shakes his head immediately, frowning. "What, why not? You remind me of my old teddy bear. He was a good listener and he didn't talk much..... just like you." I say softly, tilting my head. He continues to shake his head. I fold my arms, leaning back in my seat. "Yeah, it's definitely sticking. Teddy.....It has a nice ring to it, yeah?" He sighs, the first sound I have ever heard him make. "No." . . . *Jordan* Teddy!? Seriously!? She gave me a fucking NICKNAME!? What the hell does this girl want!? I stuff my hands into my pockets, walking down the busy street. Forget about her. She's just a annoying pretty girl, she'll go away. Everybody does. She HAS to go away. *Spoiler alert*: she doesn't. Don't get close to people or they'll end up getting hurt. That's my mindset. I've been through enough of that. This girl doesn't belong in my world anyway. She's too innocent. *Mature content* {Just a quick update, I am basically rewriting the story. I wrote it when I was in 8th grade and it makes me cringe every time I try to go back and edit it so keep in mind that it'll get better}

She wanted to test a theory. He wanted to win a bet. What could possibly go wrong? ------------------------------------------------- Why was this shit so much easier in the books?! The Macy Anderson in me would spit out the alternatives to every curse word known to man. The Ruby Buchannan in me would knee him in the groin. The Mia Hastings in me would lunge at him first, taking him on that table right there and now. The Haley Geller in me would confuse the fuck out of him by asking way too many questions. Hell! Even the Tessa Young in me would do something, like beg him to come at me with her desperate but wild ass... But the Lola Dino in me -aka the me, me- just stands there frozen, contemplating a very important decision in her head: fuck, fuck, fuck! Who do I act as next?! Um, how about yourself for a change? My conscience decides NOW to be a smartass. Yeah, right? Like that's ever worked before. Not even having the slightest clue of what to do, I wait for him to make the first move instead, and then I'll just go from there. So, I wait. And I wait. And I wait. And I wait. I wait as we remain staring at one another -I like a deer in headlights and he like a predator stalking his prey- for what seems like forever. But when his ripped, muscular frame finally charges at me, his strong tattooed hand instantly meeting the back of my head, he crashes my lips onto his so forcefully that I'm now just left with one thought and one thought only: Lola Dino, what the hell did you just get yourself into? ------------------------------------------------- *WARNING: Contains mature content including language, sex, violence, and drugs. (Book 2) *Contains spoilers below* "I needed more closure than what you gave me." I half lied. "It feels like an open wound someone keeps pouring salt on." His expression remained hard and cold. Almost distant. "I don't know what you want from me, Willow. You coming here isn't closing any wounds, it's just opening up old ones." I let out a sigh and rubbed my hands over my face. "I just needed to see you, okay? It's a relief to know you're even alive right now." I was begging myself not to cry. Noah shifted a little and folded his arms against his chest. "I don't know what you want me to say." "Anything is better than nothing." I said as I took a step closer. "I missed you. A lot." He peeked from under the mess of curls falling over his eyes. "You want me to tell you I missed you too? Is that what you're doing here?" I clenched my jaw shut and curled my fingers into fists at my sides. "I don't want anything from you." Scott isn't gone...yet. But he still refuses to let Noah go without harming anyone Noah cares about. It's been nine months since Scott took Noah under his wing and moved away from California. Willow hasn't seen either of them since the night Noah left with the promise to come back. When Willow finds Noah, she didn't expect what she finds. Noah's completely transformed into something she never thought she would see again. Besides the arrogant, obnoxious attitude, came countless tattoos, a ring through his lip, and a new name. With Scott still lingering and Noah's new found attitude, there's bound to be a little trouble. Way more than Willow bargained for. And maybe, just maybe, Scott isn't the real enemy.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.

I watched him watch me as he was about to press his fist into the big red button that read "Emergency Fire!". I was unable to form words because, I thought about how hot he looked as he stared back at me with such intensity. It just intrigued me. I finally snapped out of my trance, but not because I'd came to my senses, but because I felt a cold sensation running down my body. I blinked about three times before it finally registered that he'd pressed the button and now water was spilling from the roof, and some students were laughing and playing. My breath hitched in my throat as he came closer. "You really should've worn a more, I don't know, a thicker shirt or bra. Because your two lovely friends are standing at attention." as the words left his mouth, realization caught up to me and I flushed with embarrassment and quickly crossed my arms over my chest. Talk about scarred for life! Jerk. Meet Charm Mill, your typical nerdface. She's the smartest girl in school, straight A's, great punctuality.. eveything in the book. She's also the invisible girl. No one notices her. But, for her, that's a great thing. She feels that going unnoticed means less drama, which is correct. But, what happens when Heath Cullen gets himself in trouble because he's not performing the way he should and the principal forces Charm to tutor him? Will this be a ticket to hell or a ticket for the bad boy to find his true love? Copyrighted. ©

Book one in the Bloodsworn trilogy So here's how life used to go: We'd go to school, study, have fun, fight the occasional hunter or two, and mostly deal with everyday highschool drama. Just by looking at us, all you'd see is a great group of friends dealing with the everyday tortures of life. But maybe you should've looked a bit closer. I'm Luna Pines, and I'm the last werewolf. My whole life I've lived in secret from everybody except my friends. There are 8 of us in total, Alayna, Caroline, Timberly, Jackson, Nick, Hunter, and Jay. I don't know much about being what I am, nor how to control it very well. But the one thing that always bothered me was being alone, there's nothing I want more than to share my gift with someone else, someone just like me. So when Luke Masters shows up at school, with a shock to his touch, it seems like paradise for me. That is, until his brother's baggage makes my life, and my friends lives, hell. And here I am thinking I've got everything pretty much figured out about being a werewolf, but I have much to learn. With Vampires, Sylphs, Revenge, and Alpha powers coming to drive me insane, I'm not sure what's right and what's wrong anymore. My friends are slipping, I'm slipping, everything I've worked so hard to keep normal has gone away completely. I've lost my grip on reality, and I'm being forced into the world of the paranormal. And with every passing minute I'm growing bolder and stronger. I won't go down like this. Who would you die for? ======================================== This is my first EVER book! WARNING: This book will be going under some extreme editing since it is my first idea and I changed my mind a lot through the making. So I apologize if you read something that doesn't make sense. 《 Highest Ranking: #5 in Vampire 》 "Is that Marcus? Marcus as in, from our High School Marcus!" Casey squeaked. I spun around, not quite believing her, but there he was. He strode through the school like he owned it and my god, he could've. He'd changed over the four years he'd been gone. It was like god himself had carved him from a statue. His cheekbones could cut a finger and a jaw that could slice a hand. He was taller, more muscular. He looked nothing like the boy that went away. He wore a blacket jacket and ripped jeans, his grey eyes studied the school as every female studied him. Suddenly, they slipped past every other person's eyes and landed on mine. No surprise etched his face, it was like he didn't recognise me. Until I saw the corner of his mouth lift up. ~~ Best friends, Diana and Marcus planned to do everything together. They would go to college and live in the same dorm room, they would always be best friends. But, Marcus went away. Without expecting him to return, Diana uses her heartbreak to change her life. She becomes popular in college.. Then one day, he shows up. But he's changed, he's darker, more silent and definitely a lot more hotter. He'd grown taller, his face sharper and he drew eyes from every woman on campus, even the guys. He spoke to no one and didn't even acknowledge her until she spoke to him. But something was very off. Very off, indeed. Cover Design: @newsies- Copyright @tavanalee No Rights Reserved 2018

"Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall. He stared down at me as he said, "So you're trying to piss me off?" His lips were surprisingly close to mine. No guy would ever be this close to me in real life, let alone me being able to handle it; I would've been so timid and afraid. But this was the dream world. I could speak and be as brave as I wanted to. "Yeah, I am," I said. "What are you gonna do about it?" He paused as his eyes looked between the two of mine. Then, he smirked and swiftly closed the gap between our lips. ~~ In a small town in New York, Hazel is your average quiet type. In a school full of clichés, she falls perfectly under the category of "nerd" and has her own little nerdy group of people she loves to hang around. They respect the fact that she's non-verbal. The thing that plagued her, surprisingly, is not her inability and refusal to speak, but her ability to go through anybody and everybody's dreams. This is not something she can control, nor something that's necessarily dangerous. It just happens. One second she's in darkness, the next second she happens to be in someone's dream. But, when she stumbles into a dream of a guy she never knew existed in her grade of 500 students, albeit his popular status, both her worlds get flipped upside down.
