It's a little weird.
His life? Yeah. Tommy Hoffit's life has been a little weird, but he accepted that it's just how it is.
Some old resident of the village he's living in returns during an event, and suddenly, his life takes a turn for the better or for the worse. He doesnt really know.
What he DOES know, however, is that he realises that he doesn't know as much as he think he does.
... It's a little bit more than weird, he supposes.

He can hear distant screams and yells and gunshots. There are people passing him that are strange. They're badly injured and walk slightly hunched over. Some are missing limbs, and some are missing and eye, or both. They don't even appear to be alive to the boy. They look his way but don't mind him. Tommy is confused and scared. He can slightly remember this place to be his once home, and it makes him upset that's it's gone to such shit, and scared by everyone's screams and the fires and the fighting, and mostly, the fact that some people are eating each other. Tommy did it, he jumped into the warm welcoming lava. An old house from some part of Tommy's family that one of his aunts agreed to let them stay in. Problem is, there's a sort of 'local legend' going around, that say the house is haunted by the ghosts of the old residents, that died of somewhat questionable circumstances.
