Just as her mother taught her before she passed, she would be happy, live up to her own expectations. She, unlike her sister, never relied on man nore found interests in love. Till they moved. There she found a man who changed her look on life. On love. The book started it. Without that book she would've never met him in such a way. But was this greeting a blessing or a curse? I promised to retrieve a family heirloom but have instead encountered its owner Isabella. If I can help her break the riddle that's bound her to the bracelet, I get to keep it. Yet, the mystery continues to unfold the longer we are together, and I might have found something even more valuable than the antique. ----- Eyes bright, she reaches out towards me as though time has stopped. Out of this world's beauty, I will always be captivated by her aura. As we attempt to hold hands only to pass through one another once more. Somehow my lips entertain my thoughts as she quickly disappears, "What are you?" Silence, but I know I am not alone. "Knowing what I am would make this so much easier for us both, would it not? Yet, I haven't a clue. I still can not comprehend how, after all this time, you can see me." Her flustered voice trailing towards the next room leaves me alone with my thoughts as I reveal my best-kept secret, "I guess I'm just lucky." All rights reserved.
