Sparrow Thornheart is a modern day witch. Born during a full moon, Sparrow and her two sisters, Azriel and Medusa, were each given a Fate. Azriel, the youngest, would become the most powerful. Medusa, the oldest, would meet her soulmate. Sparrow, the middle, would become the happiest. Although not the most glamorous Fate, Sparrow accepted it and waited... 100 years later, her sisters gave up on waiting and decided to manifest their Fate in their own ways - Sparrow continued to wait. Now, Medusa is dead, and Azriel won't let Sparrow look at her. One day, Sparrow makes the mistake of taking off her blindfold to see the most terrible truth. Azriel is sent into a fit of evil rage and on her hunt for Sparrow, she wreaks havoc on the world. Sparrow, now teamed up with modern day witch hunters who don't know her secret, must take down her little sister in an attempt to save the world. But since Azriel is the only one she has left, how will she fulfill her Fate of being happy? And are the Fates even real?
